A Week Of Work Experience

Hi! We’re Beth and Ellie and we’re at The Rabbit Hole this week for work experience.

We chose to come here because of our love for reading, and we’re really enjoying ourselves so far. It’s surprising how much work goes into a book shop other than just running a till – for example, yesterday we got to go with Mel and Shane Hegarty, author of the Boot series and The Shop of Impossible Ice Creams, to visit a primary school as part of his book tour (we even got some ice cream out of it)!

We’re both in year ten at the same school and like reading mystery books, hence the theme of our book list on Bookshop.org. We’re looking forward to continuing our placement here and you might see us in the shop if you visit!
