Independent Bookshop Week runs from the 14th June - 21st June this year. The week puts a spotlight on Indie bookshops throughout the UK for a whole week.
It gives individual shops an opportunity to put on special events, special offers to thank their customers and celebrate their uniqueness nationally.
We have 3 very different events this year.
Tuesday 17th June at 6:30pm we are delighted to welcome, popular local artist and founder of Wrendale, Hannah Dale to talk about her new book, A Wilding Year, at the Buttercross in Brigg.
Wednesday 18th June, Amy Liliwall, teacher of creative writing at Lincoln University, will be at The Rabbit Hole from 2:00pm - 4:00pm to offer her expertise and support to complete beginners and experienced writers alike.
Thursday 19th June at 7:00pm Rob Etty & Friends will be entertaining us with an evening of poetry. Rob has read his work at festivals bookshops and even castles!
This year, there will be some extra special offers with your loyalty card as well as offers throughout the store.
National Book Tokens launched their High Five for Bookshops initiative during the 2019 campaign and it has quickly become an integral part of Independent Bookshop Week. All participating bookshops receive flyers to pass onto their customers, enabling them to download a £5/€5 National Book Tokens e-gift card to spend back in the bookshop that gave it to them.
The Rabbit Hole will have these tokens in store to give to customers with any book purchase while stocks last so come and get yours! Look forward to seeing you all!
