Wednesday 18th JUNE 2:00pm - 4:00pm

The Rabbit Hole, Brigg

Do you ever wonder how writers create strange and oppressive worlds? Would you like to know more about managing tension and intrigue to make your work more exciting? Whether you are specifically interested in the dystopian genre, or are looking to enhance the sense of threat within a different setting, this workshop will introduce you to the value of worldbuilding in stories. You will be considering, specifically, how to limit and reveal information to create an unusual setting. Through a series of writing exercises, you will invent a story premise and develop the world behind it. Throughout the workshop, you will have the opportunity to share your writing. This session is suitable for complete beginners and experienced writers alike.
